KPC for one place settlement of pandits in Valley

JAMMU, Apr 10: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) in a meeting today at Delhi stated that the community of exiled Kashmiri Pandits is hopeful that Lt. Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha who is now fully aware of the grave sufferings, pain and turbulence of the exiled KPs will take up the issue of their one place rehabilitation in Kashmir Valley with Union Government.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC expressed hope that Lt Governor JK will utilize his good offices and take up the issue with Prime Minister and Home Minister of India to bring some sort of relief in the pain and turbulence of Kashmiri Pandits who have suffered for last 70 years in general and since their mass exodus in 1989 in particular.
He also demanded action against those responsible for killing of minority Hindus in Valley, torching of their houses and other property besides religious places.
Kashmiri also demanded immediate passage of Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill for protection of the religious places of minority Hindus in Valley. He, while highlighting plight of over aged youth demanded a rehabilitation package for them, allotment of quarters to PM package employees working in Kashmir and enhancement of cash relief, besides job to wife of Sanjay Sharma who was recently killed by militants in Achan Pulwama and allotment of quarter to family at Jammu besides its registration as relief holder.
Other KPC leaders who attended the meeting included MK Raina, Prof. H L Saraf, Suheel Ji Bhat, RL Raina , Suraj Wali, CL Zutshi and Tej Pandita.
