JAMMU, Mar 20: Police claimed today that they have arrested two drug peddlers from Sarwal area and recovered 15 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that Mohammad Hussain of Peer Baba, Bari Brahamana, and Abdul Mehmood of Raghuda, Tehsil and District Jammu, were arrested with the drugs from outside the popular food outlet Punjabi Brothers here.
“The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the law and further investigation taken up,” he said.
The operation was carried out by a team of Police Post Sarwal led by SDPO concerned, Vikram Singh, assisted by SHO Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Vishal Shoor and incharge Police Post Sarwal, PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar, he added.
