DODA, Jan 14: Police here today claimed that it has worked out a theft case within 24 hours of the theft at Bus Stand Doda and has arrested the thief and recovered the stolen property from him.
Police sources informed that a written complaint was received from one Mohd. Shafi son of Mohd. Saber, resident of Ban-Doda and Masood Ahmed son of Abdul Karim, resident of, Shinal Mohalla Doda that thieves broke locks of four shops at Bus Stand Doda and decamped with Mobile phones, electronic items, hardware items and cash.
A Police team was constituted under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs Doda which apprehended the accused Mohan Singh alias Manu son of Uttam Singh resident of Bhella and on his disclosure stolen mobile phones and other items along with some cash was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 08/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
