Four bovines rescued

JAMMU, Dec 5: Bishnah Police has rescued four bovine animals being smuggled illegally to Srinagar.
“During naka checking at Palli Morh, a team of Police Station led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma signalled to stop one Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JK21F-8789 on suspicious ground but the driver of vehicle did not stop at naka point and instead accelerated the vehicle,” Police sources said.
They said the alert Police team chased the vehicle but the driver after stopping the vehicle at Lalachak, fled away taking advantage of darkness. “During checking, the Police team found 4 bovine animals loaded in the vehicle in a cruel and merciless manner without fodder and water,” sources said, adding, the rescued bovine animals were shifted to a safer place.
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 208/2022 under relevant sections of Law was registered in Police Station Bishnah and further investigation started,” sources further added.
