REASI, Dec 5: The ongoing strike by district unit of Urban Local Bodies Safai Karamchari Union of MC Katra and Reasi today entered into fifth consecutive day on Monday.
Continuing protest dharna for redressal of their long pending demands, the agitating Safai Karamcharis alleged that despite repeated reminders, the concerned authorities were not considering their long pending issues.
While addressing, Pinka Sandhu, President of the Safai Karamchari Union Reasi highlighted their demands which include regularization of those who have completed seven years of service, increase in the salary of daily wagers, in-situ promotions , settlement of SRO 43 cases etc.
He warned that the strike will be intensified if their demands are not fulfilled.
