52 bovine animals rescued

RAMBAN, Dec 5: Police parties from different police stations here today intercepted five vehicles, bearing registration numbers JK02 AT-0665, JK 14D 4886, JK 14 G- 5647, JK03E/3953 and JK02 AC- 8146 which were on their way from Jammu to Srinagar.
On checking these vehicles, police found 52 bovine animals loaded with utmost cruelty under unhygienic conditions without any arrangements of food and water. These bovine animals were being transported to the valley without any valid permission of competent authority.
Police rescued these bovine animals and registered five FIRs at Police Stations Ramsoo, Ramban and Chanderkote.
All the concerned vehicles were seized and all accused were arrested under relevant sections of law and an investigation has been set into motion.
The overall rescue operation was made by police parties under the command of Inspector Nayeem Ul Haq, SHO Ramsoo, Inspector Padam Dev Singh, SHO Chanderkote and Inspector Sandeep Singh Charak, SHO Ramban under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen, DSP HQ Ramban and Nissar Khoja, SDPO Banihal with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
