JAMMU, Nov 4: Bus Stand Police arrested a man along with 12 bore rifle.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vishal Dogra during patrolling intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 12 bore rifle from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Altaf Ahmed, son of Mohd Azam of Behramgalla Tehsil Surankote District Poonch.
After checking the gun licence, police team found the licence was issued in the favour of his brother Mushtaq Ahmed and Altaf Ahmed was carrying it illegally and has violated the order of the District Magistrate.
A case FIR Number 58/2022 under sections 188 IPC and 3/30 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
