JAMMU, Nov 1: A delegation of BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) under the leadership of Chand Jee Bhat its president called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar here, today and discussed various issues of the displaced people from Valley as well as PM package employees with him.
The delegation comprising of H.K.Razdan and Sanjay Bhat general secretaries, Rakesh Sadhu social media in charge, Vimal Raina Election in charge and P.K.Bhat a party leader. The delegation apprised the Divisional Commissioner about the recent killings of Puran Krishen in Kashmir valley and requested that family of deceased may be registered as migrant because he was the only bread earner of his family.
The ex-gratia amount and education of his children came under discussion, and they requested him for its approval. The ration for the displaced people and its uninterrupted supply was also discussed. The Divisional Commissioner was further apprised that supply of Atta has been stopped in favour of displaced community, which may be released at the earliest. It was further brought in to the notice of the Divisional Commissioner that substandard sugar is being issued to migrant ration holders in Udhampur.
They demanded that the operation theatre in Jagti township hospital be made functional at an earliest. Moreover, the delegation demanded that the migrants be given benefit of Centrally sponsored schemes.
They also appealed him that the monthly cash assistance in favour of migrants be increased as the relief holders are facing many hardships.
The Divisional Commissioner assured the delegation that he will take up these issues with the higher-ups in the Government.
