JAMMU, Oct 31: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per official sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Vishal Shoor under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar laid a naka and intercepted a Scorpio car.
During checking, police team recovered around 19 grams heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Kaysir Jeelini Bhat, son of Abdul Kabir Bhat of Kullar, Pahalgam, District Anantnag.
A case FIR Number 189/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
