KATRA, Oct 6: Under the flagship programme ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’, an event was organised here today to clean the holy Ban Ganga rivulet at the foothills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
The chief guest on this occasion was Col. R.S Jasrotia from 2-J&K Bn NCC Jammu and 50 NCC Cadets of Govt. Hr. Secondary School (HSS), Katra participated in the cleanliness drive.
Under the guidance of ANO, Karan Gupta participated in the awareness cum cleanliness drive.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Virender Kesar, SMDC member; Rajesh Sadhotra, Councillor; Police Inspector, Pawan and staff of HSS Katra.
Himanshi Sharma (student) presented cultural dance and Sabha Akhter (student) delivered a beautiful speech on ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’.
Principal, Narinder Sharma presented vote of thanks.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board also coordinated in the drive.
