Pritam Singh starts lane-drain work

JAMMU, Sept 12: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor and State Executive Member of JKPCC, Pritam Singh here today started lane and drain work at Vaishnavi Enclave area of his Ward No. 55.
The work will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
The lanes and drains in the area were in dilapidated condition since long and residents of the area especially elders were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Pritam Singh appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the local body in Jammu city.
He urged upon his Ward residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
The Councillor said that people should adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Deepak Gupta, Sanjiv Sharma, Shashikant Goswami, Onkar Singh Jamwal, Manjeet Singh and Charanjeet Singh.
