Advisory Board fails to yield result for State OBCs: Jheewer Community

JAMMU, Oct 1: All J&K Kashyap Rajput Sabha “Jheewar Community” held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Murari Lal Balgotra and Madan Lal Dogra, ex-president.
Anil Kumar Kashyap, president, Bahufort unit said that Coalition Government is adopting tactics for exploiting OBCs for their petty political interests. He said that OBC Advisory Board with Chief Minister as its Chairman has failed to yield good result for the development of State OBCs.
The Vice-Chairman of the Board has failed to implement 27 per cent reservation in J&K, he said, adding that Government is making expenditure of Rs 18 lakh per month for running this Board, but the output is zero in every aspect.
Prof BL Bhardwaj disclosed that Mandal Commission identified castes and communities comprising of Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs have been provided with 2 per cent vertical reservation instead of 27 per cent, which has already been implemented in other States of the country since November 1992.
Bhardwaj further said that the Government should adopt the formula of horizontal reservation for RBA and ALC categories. The present structure of reservation rules is giving the opportunity of double benefits to some other categories, he added.
