JAMMU, Aug 25: Janipur Police arrested a drug peddler along with 14 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider laid a naka at Roop Nagar and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK19A-0995.
During checking, police team recovered 14 grams of heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Adil Hamid Bhat, son of Abdul Hameed Bhat, a resident of Ashar Tehsil Banihal District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 93/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
