SRINAGAR, Sept 24: PCC president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today visited Bandipora and laid the foundation of road connecting Degree College Bandipora.
Construction of this road was a pressing demand from Bandipora, which Prof Soz fulfilled by sanctioning Rs 30 lakh out of his MP LAD.
On the occasion, Prof Soz was accompanied Minister for PHE, Irrigation & FC Sham Lal Sharma, MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga, Usman Majeed, Habibullah Bhat, Kuldeep Raj Verma, Imtiyaz Parray and many other leaders of the district.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Soz emphasized the fact that Congress Party would get closer to the people by the day and try its best to solve their problems.
Sham Lal Sharma ordered the senior officers of the PHE to provide bore well to solve the drinking water problem for 2000 students, who are studying in the Government Degree College Bandipora.
Prof Soz assured the people that many other problems highlighted by the Principal of the College and the people of Bandipora would be resolved as early as possible. He urged the people to rally support for Congress so that the party functionaries would identify the problems and solve these to the satisfaction of the people.
