JAMMU, July 25: Firing salvo at the BJP Government at the Centre for its failure in addressing basic public issues in J&K, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla stated that rather than fulfilling its promise of providing jobs, the Union Government has been selling the public sector undertakings (PSUs) and thus, permanently denying j obs to lakhs of youth as well as denting their livelihood prospects.
While interacting with aggrieved people of village Langar Ward-68, near Greater Kailash as a part of his mass contact programme to listen to public grievances in various parts of RS Pura-Jammu South constituency today Bhalla said BJP Govt failed to maintain law and order, resolving farmer’s problems, improving education and health services, employment generation and delivery of public services. He lambasted the Centre for “decimating” small and medium businesses resulting in millions of job and livelihood losses across various sectors of economy.
Underscoring the fact that Manmohan Singh, when he was the Prime Minister, never let the prices of oil rise even when the crude oil became costly in the international market, he pointed out that despite the low crude prices internationally the Modi Government has not even passed on the benefit of the low price to the public. Former minister said, people should come forward against anti-people policies of the BJP-led Government. The BJP Government is here to sell India and increase the burden of tax on public.
Bhalla regretted that people of the Jammu region were back stabbed by BJP leadership as the party has brazenly abandoned its core agenda and adopted indifferent approach towards problems of the masses.
Taking a dig at LG Administration, Bhalla said, it is acting as the agent of the Central Government. He said the Union Government’s policies are putting common people into trouble. He also said that the Prime Minister is not ready to address public issues, instead, keeps speaking in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. It is most unfortunate that the common people have no medium to raise their voice for their basic necessities due to the neglect of the BJP representatives. The people have to come on roads to express their anger and seek redressal of their genuine grievances.
Senior leaders Satish Sharma, Pritam Singh, Happy Randhawa, Neeraj Kumar, Jeet Choudhary, Surjeet, Amar Nath and others were also present on the occasion.
