UDHAMPUR, June 26: Eight day ‘Yog Prashikshan Shivir’ was concluded at Vaidic Vanaprasth Ashram Garhi, here which was organised under the patronage of Arun Chowdhary, president of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu and Kashmir.
The ‘Shivir’ was started on June 19 wherein about 115 boys (Shivrarthies) participated under the supervision of Mahatma Chuni Lal Ji, Sanchalak Aura Vir Dal Jammu & Kashmir. The participants were imparted guidance pertaining to ‘Yog Asans’, ‘Pranayam’ and other activities for self protection at the time of adversity.
The whole arrangement was by the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K. The members of various Arya Samaj organisations witnessed the ‘Shivir’ which was highly applauded by them and expressed their special gratitude to Arun Chowdhary for taking utmost care of the younger generation during the time when there is rampant addiction and overflow of drugs in the society.
Dr Vikrant an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Prant Karyawah of RSS was the chief guest of the valedictory function, while Lal Chand (Chairman DDC Udhampur) was the guest of honour.
The Shivir was concluded with the vote of thanks, presented by Arun Chowdhary who emphasized the pivotal need of such ‘Shivirs’ and providing guidance to the younger generation in these dire times when they need motivation in their teenage years.
