Jammu reports COVID death after several days

JAMMU, June 20: After several days, Jammu region today reported a COVID death and seven positive cases while 12 cases were recorded in Kashmir division.
Doctors said an unidentified body was brought to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu from RS Pura for post-mortem.
During COVID testing, the person was found positive for the virus.
This has taken COVID toll in Jammu district to 1225 and number of total deaths in Jammu division to 2329.
Among seven fresh COVID positive cases, five were registered in Jammu district and one each in Udhampur and Samba districts.
Jammu region now has a total of 107 active positive cases including 97 in Jammu district, five in Udhampur, two each in Rajouri and Samba and one in Kathua.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported three fresh COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 27 active positives—25 in Leh and two in Kargil.
