BHADERWAH, June 20: One person was killed, while five others sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in veered off a road and plunged into deep gorge near Bamlakhi village here.
As per police sources, a Hyundai i10 car skidded off the road and fell into 100-feet deep gorge near Bamlakhi village, resulting into injuries to six persons travelling in the car.
On getting information, police team along with locals immediately reached the spot and retrieved all the six persons including 3 teenagers from the damaged vehicle.
The victims were rushed to Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Arjun Singh (33), son of Faqir Singh, a resident of village Sharerna Tehsil Bhalla, while the injured were identified as Naina Devi (43), wife Dev Raj, her two daughters Himani (15) and Deepika (13), son Rahil Dev (17) and Sahil, son of Rattan Lal, all residents of Bhalla.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
