Khanna holds BJP meetings at Kathua, Samba

JAMMU, Sept 10: On the first day of his five-day tour of the State, Member of Parliament & State BJP J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna held meetings with the party workers of district Kathua and Samba.
Khanna was accompanied on his tour by State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma and general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul.
Those present at these meetings included National Executive Member & former State president BJP, Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP National Executive Member & chief spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, State vice-president Chander Prakash Ganga, State general secretary Rajiv Jasrotia, State spokesperson Sanjiv Sharma, publicity secretary Aseem Gupta, Cells Prabhari Sat Sharma (C.A), Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, BJYM State president Ravinder Raina, Mahila Morcha State president Priya Sethi, SC Morcha State president Surinder Bhagat, district. president Kathua Vijay Sharma (Adv.), Distt. president Samba Kashmira Singh.
Khanna while addressing the workers said that these meeting were first step toward election preparation by the party. He referred to the issue of compensation for farmers whose land had been occupied by security forces with out any compensation and said that this issue will also be raised at Central level and in Parliament. He stressed upon the importance of strengthening booth level structure of the party and constituting cells and morchas at mandal level. He said that it was because of the efforts of the BJP that body of Chemail Singh belonging to the border area near the two districts had been procured back from Pakistan authorities and added that now the party is seeking compensation from Chemail Singh at par with Sarabjit Singh.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address said that strengthening of polling booth is basic requirement for good election performance. He said if the polling booth are well managed, it helps in stream lining the votes in favour of the party.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that Samba is the district from where the CM wants the AFSPA to be revoked even though there has been under ground tunnel digging by Pakistani forces and regular cross border infiltration.
Chander Prakash Ganga referred to the discriminatory attitude of the administration toward Samba district.
