JAMMU, Sept 3: Dr Indu Koul Khoda, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, GMC Jammu, has been nominated as member of the Institute Body, the highest decision making body of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, which is one of the six new AIIMS established under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
Various members of this Institute Body include Union Minister for Health Ghulam Nabi Azad, Keshav Desiraju, Secretary in the Ministry of Health, GoI, Dr Jagdish Prasad, Director General of Health Services, GoI, Dr Girish Kumar Singh, Director of All India Institute of Medical Science Patna and others.
Dr Indu Khoda, wife of Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda, is a reputed Gynaecologist. She is also president of Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society of India, Jammu and life member of Indian Medical Association, Association of Gynaecological Oncologists of India.
Dr Khoda is also associated as Counselor for Adolescent Friendly Reproductive & Sexual Health Services, PGD, MCH Indira Gandhi National Open University and Trainer RCH, AIDS and HIV Control (NACO & UNICEF).
An expert in Basic and Advanced Endoscopic Surgeries, Dr Khoda has also been supporting SOS Children’s Home for orphans and militancy affected victims.
