A meeting of the Union was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik for  discussing  the constitutional rights of OBCs viz-a-viz attitude of the State Government.

If reservation can be given on the name of Pahari speaking, then why not reservation to Kashmiri speaking, Punjabi speaking, Dogri speaking, Kishtwari speaking etc, the Union asked and appealed all the OBC leaders to join hands for a joint struggle.
Those who attended the meeting, included Sandokh Chand, Swaran Singh, Mouj Sharan, Master Sain Dass, Khadim Hussain, Mohd Iqbal, Prof Kali Dass and others.
