6 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

REASI, May 13: Teams of District Police Reasi today arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued six bovines, which were being illegally transported to Kashmir.
Reports said that team of Police Check Post Dharmari laid a surprise naka at Chandhar Morh area and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK20-7378.
During checking, four bovines were found loaded in the vehicle without any valid permission. Police rescued the animals and arrested driver of the vehicle and his associate, who were identified as Zaffar Hussain, son of Abdul Gani of Seela, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi and Bhasharat Ali, son of Misher Din of Kansoli, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi.
In this regards a case FIR number 73/2022, under section 188 IPC, 11(1)(a) PCA Act, has been registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation initiated.
In another incident, team of Police Post Talwara, intercepted a Tata Mobile JK11F- 0942 and rescued two bovines. However taking the advantage of darkness, smugglers fled away from the spot.
In this regards, case FIR number 111/2022, under section 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigations initiated.
