KATHUA, Sept 2: Police has arrested a smuggler during a naka at Basholi Morh today and recovered 9 kgs of poppy straw from his possession.
He has been identified as Zahoor Hussian, son of Abdul Hussian of Bhed Dewal in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district.
The police on a tiff of has laid a naka at Basholi Morh and trapped the accused who was on his way to Basholi after alighting from an interstate bus there.
The Police has registered a case FIR number 103/2013 under Section 8/51 NDPS Act. The naka was laid by the SHO Lakhanpur K D Bhagat on the directives of SSP Kathua, Mohan Lal.
