JAMMU, Apr 26: Manoranjan Kala Kendra (MKK) today staged Punjabi play ‘Swamy’ at Abhinav Theatre.
Chander Mohan Gupta, JMC Mayor was the chief guest on this occasion while Dr. Baljit Kour, HoD, Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu; Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Addl. Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages; Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC, Sohail Kazmi and Mangat Ram Sharma, Section Officer, Directorate of Samagra Shiksha Jammu were guests of honour.
The play was written by Nirmal Jora and Directed by Tejinder Singh Premee, a renowned Punjabi Theatre activist of Jammu.
The play revolved around the practice of fraud and imposter under various pretexts.
Artists who performed in the play were Tejinder Singh Premee, Makhan Lal Shastri, Amarjeet Kour, Ajay Baba, Ranesh Sharma, Aparna Sharma, Shivpaul Singh, Nikhil Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Thapa, Devinder Singh Dhanjal, Ajay, Gaurav Sharma, Harbans Singh and others.
