SAMBA, Apr 6: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 14 cattles and arresting two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Samba laid a naka at Dorah and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK03D-7396.
During checking, police team rescued 14 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Mohammad Maqbool of Saranso District Anantnag Kashmir and Ramneek Singh, son of Harnik Singh of RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 78/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
