JAMMU, Apr 6: Peer Mitha Police arrested a vehicle lifter along with stolen Royal Enfield.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Police Station Peer Mitha by a person namely Akhil Gupta, son of Vipan Gupta of Dhakki Sarajan District Jammu wherein he stated that some unidentified person(s) have stolen his Royal Enfield classic 350 motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BK-4114, which was parked at Peerkho Main Gate.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 21/2022 under Section 379 was registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Peer Mitha led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq was constituted under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa.
The team put in hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages finally nabbed the vehicle lifter, who was identified as Shubam Dogra, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Peer Mitha District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Further questioning of the arrested thief is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
