SAMBA, Apr 5: Police here today seized three tractor-trolleys which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Acting on a tip regarding illegal mining of sand from Basantar River bed near Palth, a police team from Police Station Samba seized three tractor trolleys for illegally extracting sand from the river bed.
The trolleys were even without registration numbers.
All the three trolleys were seized by Samba Police which further handed them over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
