JAMMU, Mar 27: Prof. Suresh Kumar Gupta Memorial Library was inaugurated here today at premises of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) by Director Libraries and Research J&K, Mohammad Rafi along with TNWS president, Rajinder Parshad Kakkar; DG’s nominee in Books Purchasing Committee of J&K, Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra and Sabhita Rani, Chief Librarian, SES Library, Jammu.
The library has been dedicated to Prof. Suresh Gupta on his 10th death anniversary by his son Suneel Mahajan and his family.
Speaking on the occasion Ramesh Sabbharwal, one of the close colleagues of Prof. Gupta, described him a multi-faced personality having distinction of serving society in different capacities from young age till last breathe.
“Prof. Gupta was associated with Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarathi Parishad and many other organizations and will be remembered as a man with zeal to serve the society selflessly,” he said.
Ran Vijay Shastri, president Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar; Bharat Bhushan, D.P Arora, president BVP Bahu Branch and Vijay Arora also spoke on the life of Prof. Gupta.
Ajay Gupta, Jyoti Devi and Lucky Puri, JMC Councillors were also present on the occasion.
Suneel Mahajan, son of Prof. Suresh Gupta informed that they will soon convert the library into e-library in coming days and will update it as per the requirements of children.
