POONCH, Mar 25: The body of a teen-aged girl from Sawjian area of Mandi was found lying in river near Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that a girl identified as Raseela Kouser (17), daughter of Munir Hussain of Sawjian, who was at her relative’s home in Poonch town, was found dead in the river today.
“She left her relative’s house last night and went missing and her body was found lying in Poonch river today,” police said.
Soon after receiving information, police officials said, SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra himself alongwith Deputy SP headquarters Nawaz Ahmed and SHO Poonch SD Singh reached the spot.
“We have taken body of the deceased girl into our possession and formalities are going on while an investigation has also been set into motion,” DySP Nawaz said.
