RAMBAN, Mar 25: Police solved a theft case with the arrest of three thieves and recovery of Rs 2,97,60 cash from their possession.
As per police sources, on March 22 this year, a written application was lodged by Umar Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmed of Jathi, Tehsil Assar, District Doda stating therein that some unknown persons have stolen cash amounting Rs 3.38 lakh during the intervening night of March 21 and 22 this year from the office of Delhivery Private Limited at Seri.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 86/2022 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
To work out the case, a special team headed by PSI Arun Singh was constituted comprising HC Manohar Singh among others.
The team rounded up many suspects and after sustained questioning and hectic efforts finally nabbed the thieves, who were identified as Paramvir Singh, son of Surjeet Singh of Neera, District Ramban, Daljeet Kumar, son of Suraj Ram of Gulabgarh, Paddar, District Kishtwar and Imran Mir, son of Mohammad Iqbal Mir of Assar, District Doda.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested persons were the employees of Delhivery Private Limited company and they hatched a conspiracy and committed theft.
The team was able to recover the cash amount Rs 2,97,600 from the possession of these arrested persons.
Further recovery will be affected in due course of investigation.
The arrests and recovery was made under the supervision of SHO Ramban Inspector Sandeep Charak, DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
