Digital services adding to ‘Ease of Living’ : Rekha

JAMMU, Mar 11: To keep pace with the fast growing digital technology based modern era of mobile governance, the launching of  25 e-services on the UMANG platform in Jammu and Kashmir is a step towards adding to ease of living.
This was stated by Rekha Mahajan, secretary, Jammu and Kashmir BJP here, today. While terming this initiative of the UT Government as a revolutionary step she said it will be a big help to the people in submitting applications for different purposes through online mode and get the required documents without going to any department or meeting officials, thus enhance the accessibility of services and add to the convenience of the people wishing to avail these services.
Rekha said that it is for the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir that one can avail services related to as many as 25 important documents like birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, income certificate, dependent certificate, rehri licence, caste certificates of Scheduled Caste and  Scheduled Tribes and RBA categories etc.
Rekha further said that the housewives, disabled and aged people, besides those over burdened with their day to day activities, will obviously feel comfort in getting digital services.
