Rs 5,700 fine imposed on erring traders

JAMMU, Feb 23: The Department of FCS&CA conducted a surprise inspection in areas of Bakshi Nagar, BC Road, Ustad Mohalla and others here today.
Concerned area inspectors were also present during the inspections and the inspecting team found use of domestic cylinders by shopkeepers instead of commercial ones.
The Assistant Director, City Circle-1, Jammu, Dr. Alka Misra, informed that the domestic cylinders were seized by the officials and the erring traders were fined.
About 13 challans were done and a total of Rs 5700 as fine was collected.
Meanwhile, the inspecting team also checked mutton and chicken shops and found that there was no rate list displayed.
“A warning to such shops was given and they were asked to put a rate list on their shops”, Alka Mishra maintained.
