SRINAGAR, Aug 13: Eight persons were injured in different road traffic accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said during the intervening night of Monday an unidentified Truck hit an I10 Car at Green Tunnel, Anantnag, resulting in injuries to Masrat Jan daughter of Abdul Khaliq of Achabal who was traveling in the car. The spokesman said she has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A Santro car JK01M/6721 driven by Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Munawar of Sumlar, Bandipora, hit and injured a child Afshana Afzal of Takya Chewa at Takya Chewa, Bandipora, the spokesman said.
He said Afzal was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
An Auto Load Carrier JK04A/8861 driven by Mohammad Altaf Ganie son of Ghulam Qadir of Soznipora Khansahib on way from Khansahib to Budgam hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01P/8499 near Degree College Khansahib, Budgam, resulting in injuries to Ashraf Mir son of Abdul Majeed Mir of Yari Khansahib and a pillion Irshad Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Rasool of Soznipora, Khansahib. Police spokesman said that both the injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Budgam for treatment.
Faisal Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Ahmad of Charkoti near Khumriyal Receiving Station, Kupwara, was hit and injured by a Sumo bearing registration number JK02B/2744. Dar was shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
An Auto Load Carrier KMR2/ Temp-E-369 driven by Ajaz Ahmad Mir son of Farooq Ahmad of Noorbagh, Srinagar, on way from Sopore to Handwara hit and injured two children Rukhsana Bashir daughter of Bashir Ahmad and Nazakat Rahim daughter of Abdul Rahim Mir of Seelu Sopore at Seelu.
Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore, for treatment where from Rukhsana Bashir was referred to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
A Maruti car bearing registration JK01G/0615 on way from Anantnag to Mattan driven by Ishfaq Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Satar of Wantrag collided with a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03/8295 driven by Bashir Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Rasool of Ganiepora Mattan at K.P Road, Anantnag, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist, the police spokesman said.
