NOWSHERA, Aug 12: A soldier from 50 RR unit of Army, located somewhere near the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri committed suicide by using his service rifle today.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as Shiv Ghoda of Karnataka. He was deployed at Shah Lakh post and allegedly shot a bullet in his head and died on the spot. Senior officers, who rushed to the spot informed police. The police shifted the body to Nowshera Hospital for postmortem and after performing all the legal formalities handed over to the unit. It was later dispatched to soldier’s home town.
