The separation and Pak sponsored agencies are slowly succeeding in dividing the people of this State on communal lines. The unfortunate incidents of Kishtwar and Zanaskar is a manifestation of the malicious gameplane designed by Pak agencies. The people of Jammu have frustrated the designs of these agencies for the last 25 years of militancy. Despite many provocations people have lived in communal harmony and shared each other’s weal and woes.
It is quite ironical that when militancy was at peak, people lived in mutual coexistence but when militancy has ebbed communal flare ups in the State have reared their urgly head which is quite shocking and beyond belief.
These developments should be seriously analysed by the communities themselves, and whatever steps are required to check disturbing tendencies be taken at the earliest. Otherwise a spark neglected may burn this State which would a great catastrophe.
There is urgent need that the Government looks at all these unhealthy developments and those responsible for creating trouble be identified and prosecuted according to law of land. Besides, it is bounden duty of the responsible citizens and civil society members to work for communal harmony in the State. In it lies the welfare of people of Jammu Kashmir.
