Durga Nagar residents oppose enforcing of power cuts in metered areas

JAMMU, Jan 30: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in a meeting today held under the leadership of its president, Roshan Lal Raina and chairman, Ravinder Bakshi made an appeal to PDD authorities not to enforce the power shutdown in metered areas.
The meeting urged the CE M&RE and SE concerned not to enforce shut down on Feeder 9 and 10 in Muthi Goan as the entire area fed by these two feeders is metered.
It also made an appeal to MD PDD Jammu for installation of five and 10 MBA transformers at Roon Nagar Grid Station so that the power supply on the whole can be improved.
It however expressed satisfaction over the installation of 430 kv and 250 kv transformers at Matador stand and Sudeshi Lane in Durga Nagar today by PDD which were inaugurated in presence of Committee office bearers.
Raina demanded premixing of 450 meters of left over lane in Sector 2 and starting of premixing work in the lanes of 1, 2 and 3 in the area immediately. He appealed Chief Engineer, PHE and concerned Executive Engineer to install 80 HP pump at Durga Nagar tube well for bettering the water supply in the area and the work on construction of another tube well be also started.
The meeting among others was also attended by B B Gosani, C L Zutshi, Badri Nath, Bansi Lal, R L Koul, M K Raina, B L Koul, and M L Bhat.
