DDC Rajouri reviews progress under RD sector

RAJOURI, Jan 23: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today directed the Rural Development Department to put in extra efforts to meet the target of persondays generation set for the current financial year under the labour component of different rural development schemes.
He was reviewing the performance of the Rural Development Department here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in his office chamber.
Officers present in the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ACD, Sushil Khajuria and Block Development Officers.
At the outset, the Assistant Commissioner Development, Sushil Khajuria briefed the chair about blockwise physical and financial progress under MGNREGA, PMAY-G, construction of Bunkers, man-days generated and uploading of GPDP on the portal.
While taking review of progress regarding person-days generation, the meeting was informed about the block-wise performance in this regard. It was informed that 1887000 PDs have been generated to date.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to make extra efforts to achieve the target of 3480000 mandays.
The DDC asked for ensuring timely payments in favour of the job card holders. It was informed that 84.1 percent payments have been already made. The DDC asked for stern action against non-performing employees.
Discussing the progress achieved under PMAY-G, it was informed that against the target of 30534 houses, as many as 11841 houses have been constructed to date. The DDC asked the concerned officers to redouble the efforts to ensure that all the houses under the scheme are constructed within set timelines.
The District Development Commissioner also reviewed the status of disbursement of installments and asked for filling the gaps and ensuring timely payments to the beneficiaries. He also stressed on 100 per cent geo -tagging of the assets.
While taking stock of allotment of works already tendered, he directed ReW to ensure speedy allotment and start of the works.
Regarding bunkers construction, the meeting was apprised that out of 1867 bunkers, 1467 have been constructed till date.
The DDC laid thrust on maintaining quality standards while executing the developmental works for creating durable assets.
