RAMBAN, Jan 16: Batote Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Batote laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck bearing registration number JK02CD-7887.
During checking, police team rescued 16 bovine animals and seized the vehicle, while the driver managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 04/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation started.
Police team from Police Station Batote led by PSI Harish Kumar foiled the cattle smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
