JAMMU, Dec 28: An awareness camp about various public welfare schemes launched by Union Government led by Narendra Modi was held at Durga Nagar today in which people from Sector 1,2, 3, Durga Nagar Enclave, Dogra Nagar, Roop Nagar and other surrounding areas were present.
The camp was organised by Chief Executive Officer JUDA, Dipika Rana and the Relief Commissioner, Migrants, Ashok Pandita was the chief guest on the occasion.
Panchari Mahajan district Manager gave the full account of the schemes and said that loan from Rs two lakh to six lakh can be obtained under the schemes. Also information was given about the requisite papers for the same.
Relief Commissioner gave the full details to the gathering and people also took part in the discussion and their doubts if any were clarified by the officers on the occasion. The camp will also continue tomorrow.
Roshan Lal Raina president Durga Nagar Sector 1 and Sanjay Ganjoo president Sector 2 also spoke on the occasion and threw light on various public welfare schemes launched by Modi Government.
They made an appeal to Government that the Rs two lakh be increased to Rs four lakh as per market value. Bushan Lal Mandal president, BJP was also present in the meeting. The participants complimented the officers of JUDA and Relief Commissioner for organizing the camp.
The migrants informed the CEO JUDA that relief is not an income but the assistance given by the Government to displaced people hence it should not be counted as income while sanctioning the loan. Zonal Officer Bharat Bushan Sagar was also present in the camp.
