Artists Association holds meeting

JAMMU, Dec 27: In connection with the meeting of the J&K Artist Association, held at its Head Office Srinagar,
A meeting of artists was also held here, today in which the issues pertaining to the artist community were discussed threadbare.
The meeting said the artists of J&K are facing great hardships for around a decade now, when the Radio and Television activities got stopped in totality.
It said as every artist is living on the hope that some positive will come their way as the president of the Union Tariq Javed has said that he has received positive inputs from the concerned authorities, that the backlog payments will be cleared soon and fresh proposals of different software will be invited from the producers. It was also announced that in-house programmes will also be started from the next financial year.
All the artists are hopeful that with such a positive input from authorities the artists in the UT will be relieved of their problems.
The meeting of Jammu unit was held under the chairpersonship of Kusum Dhar.
