Necessity to develop Hindu cultural, religious places: Sat

JAMMU, Dec 26: Terming the works taken up for development of preparation hall at Ram Leela Ground at Janipur Colony area as an initiative to provide adequate infrastructure to the artists, former Minister and Ex MLA, Jammu, West Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporator Ward 37, Sunita Gupta started the works and dedicated it to the local residents and especially artists who take part in the Ram Leela.
The leader was accompanied by Mandal president, Raveesh Mengi, Ram Leela Association president, Sunny, locals, Association team and political activists of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that such places hold a cultural and religious importance in our lives. He said though there was a hall before where the artists during Ram Leela practised but there was no proper infrastructure of the hall which caused many problems for them. Now a hall with full tile flooring, a bathroom and other basic works required to fulfil the aspirations of the artists will be done so that they can easily focus on their much important work which keeps alive the culture of Hinduism in every Indian, he added.
He also stated that people in thousands visit this place every year to witness the holy Ram Leela for which he said that during his tenure CDF was sanctioned for the development of this pious place during his tenure as MLA.
Sunita Gupta said that this work was the need of the hour and it had to be taken up so that a proper atmosphere could be provided to both artists and people visiting this place. She lauded the efforts of former MLA for giving priority to developing places which hold cultural and religious importance in our society. She also talked about more works done and works to be taken up for development of the Ward.
Raveesh Mengi talked about the works constructed during the tenure of former MLA and said under his leadership Jammu West has touched the mark of a Model Constituency.
