SAMBA, Dec 12: An old lady died when she was crossing the railway track while another person died in a road accident in two separate accidents in Samba district today.
Police said an old lady died when she was crossing the railway track in the Bari Brahmna area of Samba district. The lady was hit by a train coming from Jammu while crossing the track. The Santry on duty shouted many times but the lady didn’t respond and the train hit her and she died on spot. The dead body of the lady has not been identified so far. The police has registered a case and started their further investigation in this regard.
Meanwhile, one person died in a road accident at Raya Morh of Samba district today. According to the police one person riding on a Motorcycle without number hit with a Scorpio bearing Registration Number, JK02AA 4234, that was parked on road side.
Motorcyclist was injured seriously and he was rushed to Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur by locals and Highway Patrol Police team where doctors declared him as brought dead. The dead body was shifted to mortuary room in Ramgarh Hospital. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Prem Nath of Sidhra tehsil Sunderbani district Rajouri. In this context Police has registered a case and started further investigation.
