Srinagar, Dec 10: Police today said to have arrested 4 drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
Acting swiftly on reliable information about the drug trade, police said, a special team led by SHO PS Dangiwacha under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad established a checkpoint at Ladoora crossing and intercepted 04 persons.
“They have been identified as Muhammad Ramzan Dar son of Bashir Ah Dar resident of Ladoora Rafiabad, Nazir Ah Sheikh son of Muhammad Sultan Sheikh & Umer Yousuf son of Mohd Yousuf Lone both residents of Nadihal Rafiabad and Farooq Ahmad Ambar son of Ghulam Nabi Ambar resident of Tarzoo Amberpora,” police said.
During checking, police said, officers were able to recover 1008 banned capsules from their possession. “They have been arrested and shifted to Police station where they remain in custody,” police said adding a case vide FIR No. 195/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation has been initiated.
