JAMMU, July 18: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking prosecution sanction against the corrupt IAS/IPS/IFS officers, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir and Justice Tashi Rabstan today granted four weeks time to the Union of India to take decision on the prosecution sanction pending against IAS officer, Baseer Khan.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Senior AAG Gagan Basotra submitted that in compliance to the earlier directions of the DB the General Administration Department has filed compliance report.
After hearing Advocates S S Ahmed and Suraj Singh for the PIL whereas Rajneesh Raina for the Union of India and Senio AAG Gagan Basotra for the State, DB observed, ‘in terms of order dated June 6, 2013 read with order dated June 26, 2013, GAD has filed the compliance report. Now the Union of India is required to do the needful”.
Considering the submission of Advocate Rajneesh Raina appearing for the Union of India, the DB granted four weeks time to the Union of India to do the needful.
