JAMMU, Sept 21: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration against the opening of Reliance stores in J&K.
The protest was led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple who torched the copies of permission to Reliance stores for opening the stores in J&K.
Dimple appealed the people to support Jammu Band call for September 22.
He threatened to boycott RSS chief’s J&K visit if Reliance stores are opened here and also demanded start of Darbar Move practice and restoration of statehood to J&K with special status.
The JWAM leader claimed that traders and transporters are suffering heavy losses after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A.
He said that BJP & RSS should tell if there is any single achievement and benefit to Jammu traders and transporters after the abrogation of Article 370.
Dimple also flayed toll plazas, heavy taxes on drinking water, electricity etc in J&K.
Prominent among those present in the protest were Ajay Sharma, Rajesh, Daleep Dogra, Prince Mahajan, Subash Gupta, Ranjeet Singh and others.
