JAMMU, July 9: The management and inmates of ‘Home for the Aged and Infirm’ celebrated 113rd birth anniversary of its founder Ram Nath Prabhakar in its premises at Amphalla here today.
Celebration started with hawan-poojan in the morning followed by distribution of clothes among the inmates and cash incentive among the workers.
The vice-president of the Home, Prof Vidya Nath Gupta, former Head of Hindi Department, Jammu University and ID Soni, State Commissioner for Scouts and Guides, paid rich tributes to Ram Nath Prabhakar, who devoted his life in the service of the poor and aged destitutes and infirm members of the society.
Prabhakar was a retired Headmaster and a well known social worker, who made significant contribution for care and upliftment of aged destitute of the society.
The celebrations concluded by serving humble to the invitees with inmates.
