SRINAGAR, Aug 30: The Jammu and Kashmir NPS Employees United Front today demanded the immediate revocation of the New Pension Scheme (NPS) and the re-implementation of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
Addressing a press conference here, the office bearers of the Front urged the LG’s Administration to take up the matter with the Central Government so that their issues are resolved without any further delay.
“We urge LG Sinha to scrap new pension policy which was implemented in 2010 and the re-implementation of the previous pension policy so that employees can live a comfortable life after retirement,” Muhammad Rafiq Malik of the front said.
The Front said that earlier there used to be the guarantee of pension, “but, now, those who are retiring after years of services, are getting peanuts in the name of pension. “We urge the LG Manoj Sinha to take up the issue with the Central Government immediately.”
