JAMMU, July 4: Army and police today recovered arms and ammunition from village Cherji in Paddar area of Kishtwar district.
On a specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and police conducted a search operation in Paddar area and recovered consignment of arms and ammunition from village Cherji.
Recoveries included one AK-56 rifle, three magazines of AK-47 rifles, 224 AK rounds, eight rounds of 7.62 mm Dragnov Sniper ammunition, with one magazine, 13 rounds of 7.62 mm of SLR, one personal pouch, one jacket of US Army pattern.
Army and police conducted searches in the area. However, no arrests were made from the spot.
