RAJOURI, Aug 25: A Head Constable of J&K Police was died due to electric shocks in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district last night.
Official sources said that Head Constable Mohd Arif, son of Haji Abdul Rashid Thakkar, resident of Barhoon village in Rajouri, presently deployed with SDPO Thannamandi as escort incharge, was seriously injured due to severe electric shocks last night. He was shifted to Thanamandi hospital by the fellow policemen but he succumbed to injuries after some time.
After performing legal formalities his body was handed over to the family for last rites. The police has registered a case in this connection.
