RAMBAN, Aug 7: Gool Police arrested two absconding rapists from District Anantnag.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Gool conducted raid and apprehended two absconders from Lakripora area of District Anantnag.
The arrested persons were identified as Javed Ahmed Wagay, son of Gul Mohammad Wagay and Mohammad Yousuf Wagay, son of Sona Wagay, both residents of Lakripora District Anantnag.
They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 26/2021 under Sections 363, 343 and 376 IPC and 3/4/16/17 POCSO Act with Police Station Gool and were evading their arrest for a long time after committing the crime.
Both the absconders were presented before Court at Ramban which sent them to judicial custody at District Jail Udhampur.
The arrest was made by a team from Police Station Gool headed by PSI Rayees under the supervision of SHO Gool Inspector Muneer Ahmed and SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar.
